Grant Application Guidelines
Grants are focused in the regions where trustees live: Austin, New Orleans, and the San Francisco Bay Area. The Campbell Foundation makes unrestricted general operating support grants, unless an organization requests specific program support. We frequently make multi-year grants to our established grant partners. Grants average $35,000 per year. The Campbell Foundation uses Foundant, an online Grants Management System.
For organizations who do not have an established relationship with The Campbell Foundation:
- Please use this link to set up an account in Foundant and submit a Letter of Interest.
- Because of our long-term relationships with grantees and our relatively small grants budget, we are not always able to accommodate new grant relationships. We are glad to know about organizations doing good work and will review unsolicited Letters of Interest thoughtfully.
For organizations who have an established relationship with The Campbell Foundation:
- If your organization has received funding in the past from The Campbell Foundation, or has been invited to apply for funding, a Letter of Interest is not required. However, an access code is needed for use in Foundant. Please email us for this access code at info@thecampbellfoundation.org.
- The Campbell Foundation reviews grant applications on a rolling basis. The Foundation does not make grants to an organization more than once in a calendar year. We do not fund private foundations or individuals.
- Annual reporting helps us understand our grantees’ work and celebrate your impact. We welcome either a grant report conversation or a written grant report submission on Foundant. Current grantees will receive an email a month before their grant period ends, which will provide more details about these options.
